TEAM HIGHLIGHTS and WEBSITE UPDATES

• May 27 / 2013 - Last night at Concord Regional Park there was a mini-reunion of NY Midgets alumni in a Thornhill Men's Houseleague - Senior Division game. The "Phillies" fourth-inning infield saw Brendan Lynch ('07-'09) at third base, Mike Blachford ('04-'05) at shortstop, Robert Ghandour ('07-'08) at second base, with former coach Kevin Lawrie ('04-'11) at first base. The Phillies won the game 12-5.
• Nov 1 / 2012 - NYBA will field a new Midget AAA team for the 2013 season - repatriating Alex Ziedins from Leaside as the only returning member from the 2011 NY Midget team.  Good luck Alex !
• Sept 6 / 2011 - Howie Birnie Challenge Cup page added.
• Aug 27 / 2011 - NY Midgets returned from Brantford after three games - defeating Pickering but losing to Guelph and London.  Daniel M had an amazing tournament going 5-6 with three RBI.  NY concluded a generally successful season with a surprisingly disappointing showing at the OBAs.  OBAs Results.
• Aug 27 / 2011 - Statistics updated.  Notably, Owen faced 179 batters and only allowed two extra base hits.  Records will be updated in the new year.
• Aug 12 / 2011 - NY Midgets mourn the passing of Randy Echlin - our team's biggest fan between the years of 2005 and 2007.  Randy was a great friend and a faithful supporter of our team.  Always positive and sincere, Randy had frequent words of encouragement for players and for coaches too.  Plus he was always ready to talk baseball - and one time he brought Maury Wills to our practice!   Randy: Kevin and Glen will never forget you.  Thanks.
